We originally called My Local Plumber a couple of years ago because they were recommended by a friend. Eddy came out and did a fine job changing the toilets for us; he was very personable. We were happy with the work so later on in 2014 we called them to replace a leaky faucet. They did the work in a timely manner, but within a couple of weeks the faucet was leaking again. I was very busy with personal matters at the time so I didn't get a chance to call them back about that, but I did mention it the next time I called them about a clog. They said they couldn't do anything for free since it had been a year already, but I was willing to pay again to get it to stop leaking.

They needed a part to fix the faucet so they left to go get the part, but they didn't explain to me that I was paying them $100 an hour to go shopping. They took an hour to get one part from the hardware store and I was paying them for labor the entire time, which was not explained ahead of time. This $80 faucet now cost me around $200; they should have said up front that I would be paying them for labor the whole time. Then, in two weeks, the faucet started leaking again. I asked them to send out a different plumber because Mike, the guy who first came out, was not happy with me and I was not happy with him. I asked them to send Eddy instead and they said I would have to wait for him to available, so I waited. When the appointment showed up, Michael was back instead of Eddy. He said he found the problem and fixed it, but in two weeks it was leaking again. I felt that I was paying too much for a repair that should have just been replaced in the first place. I will not be going back to My Local Plumber.
