Let me start by saying that I have used Changing Spaces twice within a months time to move two separate households. One was a partial pack and haul and the other was a full pack and haul, both across State lines.
This was the first time I used a full service moving company, meaning I usually pack ourselves and pay to have the truck loaded and unloaded. I chose Changing Spaces not only because they were the most reasonable by far, but I knew who I was getting from start to finish and knew they were not subbing out the move to the cheapest bidder. This company is involved from start to finish.
Nate was my original point of contact and he quoted me the price and sent over the contract. I thought he was just the salesperson, but boy was I surprised and happy when he showed up the day of the move and jumped right in. Chris was the team leader and my go to man if I had any questions or concerns and he actually drove the truck to our destination on both occasions.
I had some very important antiques and family heirlooms that I must have driven Chris and Nate mad about, but they were extremely patient with me and assured me they would take the utmost care with my belongings.
There was absolutely no down time with these guys and they worked non stop from morning to evening with only a lunch break. I really felt sorry for them on the first move as it must have been the hottest day of the year and they still managed to keep a sense of humor, even though they had to navigate a million stairs and work outside in the heat loading my garage.
As another reviewer mentioned the guys are paid by the hour, which made me nervous at first not knowing how long it would take them, but they came in very close to the original quote which was still no where near as high as the major moving companies had quoted me.
Also I have to say I did my homework and checked all of my options out. There was not a single moving company that even came close to the ratings this company gets and besides price that is the main reason I chose to go with Changing Spaces. Good company, good guys and an overall great moving experience, well as great as moving can be.
I just wish they were located in my new city so they could move me a third time once our house is built.
