Not a satisfied customer
I ordered a refurbished factory rim to replace a rim that is cracked. Due to negligent packing (there was nothing protecting the outer edge of the rim apart from one single layer of cardboard, the box itself), the rim was damaged during transport. The damage was cosmetic in nature, but would cost almost the cost of a rim to replace. Unfortunately, due to the previous rim being cracked, I require the rim so I can operate my vehicle. The only offer Rockauto could muster was a mere 30% of the repair cost of the rim. In order to receive a replacement rim, I have to front the additional cost of the next rim. I am not satisfied with the replacement or repair options. I cannot let me vehicle sit while I wait for a replacement wheel. And to repair it now costs almost double what a refurbished wheel locally would cost. Ultimate value for this purchase is very low. I have purchased previously from Rockauto, but this was my last purchase. I must have a rim to operate my vehicle and don't feel I should be responsible for fronting the cost of their error. Customer service did not even attempt to offer a better solution.
