I have actively recommended against purchasing from RockAuto to my family and friends

Rock Auto shipped me the wrong part for my car. The return process was straight forward but they made me pay for return shipping even when the fault was on their end of this transaction.

On top of this terrible return policy, RockAuto also has no phone based customer support where you could talk to someone to potentially work through issues like mine.

For this reason I would actively recommend against ever spending money with RockAuto.

We're sorry this customer was unable to use the part he purchased. When he reported the problem with the part on our Order Status & Returns page he confirmed that the part number on the packaging and the part itself match what he ordered--indicating he correctly received the part he ordered. The part he purchased has specific fitment notes and we asked him if they match what is needed for his vehicle. He answered that he was 'not sure' if the fitment notes of the part match his vehicle. Based on this information we sent him the part he ordered but he ordered the wrong part. We authorized a return for a full refund of the part cost but as our Return Policy explains "Shipping charges are not refundable unless the return is due to our mistake.". RockAuto offers customer service 24/7 through our Order Status & Returns page. If customers need additional help our customer service team is available by email (service@rockauto.com). They are available 7 days a week and normally respond within a few hours or less.
