I’ve ordered four times so far, & I’m SOLD on Rock Auto! The prices often seem impossible. A few items are *only* half the price of the stores. Most are a fraction. Ex: I bought four highly rated headlight replacement bulbs, instead of $30 each, none of them cost more than $5! Shipping is quite fast, I just had to get used to the idea of waiting a couple of days instead of going to the parts store same day. But the REAL benefit is choice; Instead of this or that, there are usually at least Five choices, name brands & some I wasn’t familiar with.
My latest scores were a complete pressure hose & return hose set for my power steering ?$40 vs $160 at the store, and NGK spark plugs for $9 a set vs $32 at the store.
My suggestion is to create an account so you can save vehicles, so parts searches are superfast, & you can save multiple shopping carts (wish lists, really).
The one & only downside is no phone option for questions. They told me that ‘email questions’ are how they keep prices so incredibly low. So that’s a bit of a bummer, but I have to say the product descriptions are much better than any parts store online, even on ‘the parts store’ app. My current car is a 2001 Subaru, and I’ve found parts that no store, only the dealer had.
If Rock Auto could implement a chat option that would be phenomenal.
Yes, I saw the commercials & didn’t believe them UNTIL no one had what I needed locally and I gave them a shot.
Now they’re my go-to for all parts.
