Good Catalog and Prices, Bad Customer Service
We are a professional shop and have been dealing with rock auto for years. Rock auto used to have an excellent live customer service. Recently, I ordered a part and as usual paid with paypal. The same day we were charged and received a shipment notification with tracking number from USPS's priority mail which is 2 days delivery. After two days that we didn't receive the package I tried to track the package. According to USPS, the tracking number was created two days ago but the package had yet to be delivered to USPS's office. I tried to call the customer service to get a follow up, but I found out that rock auto has eliminated their live customers service. When I called their phone number, I reached their corporate office and after a lengthy wait, I was transferred to a receptionist who kept repeating that I have to file complain on their website. That is not an acceptable answer for us as a professional repair shop. We have clients to take care of and we need a better answer. Next time ordering parts on line, we will look for competitive pricing with better customer service.
