pricey and "exact" location of leak not found
$325 to come out and pinpoint the exact location of the leak in our pool system. Inspection was made, and quote was over $900 to repair. I was told that location of leak was under the pool equipment, therefore, equipment had to be removed, slab removed, and then the pipe could be fixed, the slab repoured, and the equipment could be replaced. Upon further questioning of the tech., it was determined that the exact location of the leak "might be under the pool equipment, or it might just be under the ground somewhere between the pool filter and the pool equipment." Bottomline, the leak could be anywhere on the line between the pool filter and the pool equipment. To me, this isn't finding the exact location of leak. Further, the labor involved between removing the pool equipment and slab, versus just digging up dirt is noteable, and it would have been nice to know what was truly involved for the repair. But I'm still on the hook to pay the $325 for the "Bullseye" inspection.
