Long story here but I would highly recommend going elsewhere for a professional fitting experience. Read on for the details of my experience here and why I am rating one star (it should be 0 stars) but long story short I felt both my time and money was wasted and that there are far better local options out there.

First Experience (Josh Miller): I walked in the door about a minute before my fitting was scheduled to start. It turns out I had to wait about 15 minutes for him to get ready and start up the SAM PuttLab before we could get started. Once we finally got going, we were able to establish a baseline with my existing putter. This is when I got the first comment about the fact that there's another fitting scheduled right after me and "we don't have a lot of time". Held my tongue and said Ok, well lets start rolling some putts. After rolling a few putts, I got the same comment several more times. I only got to test (4) putters on SAM and we actually stopped short of my 1 hour time slot. Rightfully so, Josh offered to reschedule for the same time the following week.

Second Experience (Josh Miller): This was exactly one week after my initial fitting and we just got about 4" of snow and 1/2" of ice. The roads were terrible, it was about 10 degrees but I showed up right on time again for my fitting early on a Saturday morning. When I walked in I was expecting to see Josh again but I met Jeff Sikute for the first time. He told me Josh had called in sick and he was supposed to call all his customers to let them know he would be out. I never got any call and I showed up on time in less than ideal conditions for nothing. After speaking with Jeff about rescheduling, he told me that Josh had mistakenly scheduled the fitting for March 5th instead of February 5th. I never got a proper apology or anything, but I did get the more relaxed "oh it happens from time to time". We again re-scheduled for one week later.

Third Experience (Jeff Sikute - First Driver Fitting): I ended up changing to a driver fitting this time. I got there about 5 minutes before my fitting was going to start so I could warm up a little before my fitting. I sat down on the couch and changed into my golf shoes. After about 5 minutes, Jeff came over and asked what I was there for. I said a driver fitting with you. He said " Ok, I'll just be another 10 minutes to wrap up my current fitting".
After hitting $@!#% on a blank screen (no Trackman) for 10 minutes, I felt I was warmed up. I ended up waiting another 20 minutes before I was ever acknowledged again by Jeff. My fitting was scheduled for 11:30, and I did not step foot into the bay we were using until 12:01. This is absolutely unacceptable and is not how you treat customers who are paying for a fitting at a specific time. When Jeff finally did come over to let me know he's done, there was no apology of any kind on his behalf for my 30 minute wait. At this point I was stiff again and needed to warm up for a second time. We ended up using my current driver head and trying (4) different driver shafts during my 90 minute fitting. This is what $175 gets you, and it's not worth anywhere near that. I will admit we did find a better shaft that lowered spin for me I was interested in. It just so happens that shaft costs $450. He asks me what grip I use so I told him. Next thing you know I'm getting an invoice for the fitting, shaft, and grip without ever being asked if I wanted to purchase. This is ridiculous. Found the same shaft I hit well during the fitting from one of the manufacturer's approved online dealers for $100 less than what they were going to charge me in the store that day, and that's not even including their grip upcharge.

Moral of the story is: Club Champion is way overpriced, their customer service and professionalism is lacking, they do not care about your time, and will shove an inflated invoice in your face without even asking you if you wanted to purchase.

I highly recommend any of the other big name fitters in the area (MOG, GolfTEC, Golf Galaxy) before going here.

Adam - we are incredibly sorry for your experience, and this is certainly the exception and most certainly not the rule. We do want to thank you for sharing your experience with us so that we can ensure that this does not happen to others. A representative from our team will be reaching out ASAP. We do hope that your new driver shaft is performing to expectations, but most certainly would like to get you back in for another fitting of your choice along with reconciling the putter fit. Thank you!
