This was my first ever fitting. I was looking to upgrade my clubs and didn't want to guess at what was good for my game this time around. My plan was to replace irons only as my woods and driver are only a year old.
My fitter was Dante. I hadn't been playing in few months so I was rusty but it was still easy to see and feel the difference of the different clubs and shaft combinations. They really have a huge selection to try out so plenty of data to help make your decision. They had me try new shafts on my driver and fairway woods. It showed I was gaining club head speed and that translates to distance which I could really use as I only avg 200yards. I decided to re shaft all of them, who doesn't like extra distance right !!
With the irons the goal was to get more height. There were a lot of choices but eventually we narrowed it down to a few. I actually decided on one, but after a day or two back home researching I changed my mind. Dante was great about making this change happen.
I got lucky and had one last nice day to play this past Thursday. Game was still rusty but I can definitely tell you there were some great improvements. Drives a good 20 yards farther, my 3 and 5 woods higher and farther. Biggest thing I noticed was my 4hybrid, and 6 iron. Both I normally avoid, if this round was any indication I'll be pulling them out always. Hit them higher and farther on several shots each, great news for my short game.
