I learned In the days when custom club fitting was more art than science. Very early in this millennia radar measurements of club and ball were very new and helpful for indoor fitting. Anyway I know more than a little bit about this biz.

That said, Julian was a pro club fitter from start to finish. He fit me and did not try to fix my swing to match pro level swing speeds. Nor did he try sell me something I didn't need.

He couldn't help me improve on my driver (which is why I was originally there). We had time left so Julian agreed to look at my irons. A custom set of Miuras I had built for myself 20 years ago. Miura still makes the same (more or less) irons so Julian popped in some graphite shafts (something we couldn't do 20 years ago) until we found a combination that produced rather remarkable results.

He did the same for my hybrids.

When I picked them up, I tested them with the same Track Man we used for fitting. The performance was exactly what I was expecting. Performance: I'm 20 years older and now a legit 10 yards farther with each club. All the gaps have been filled in. That is about all one can ask for.
