Club Champion had the best reviews, and club sellers in Reno weren't really club fitters. I made the two hour drive to the Roseville store for a full bag club fitting. Starting with swings of my existing clubs, I hit $@!#% and had my effort analyzed including launch angle, swing speed, ball speed, etc. I then hit a variety of other brands, shafts, and heads. There was an immediate feedback on what felt and worked better, and worse.
Club Champion carries many brands, and it showed in my final purchase. I had a year old driver that I hit as well as any other driver I tried. There was no effort by Jordan, the fitter, to sell me a new driver. I purchased Callaway Apex irons, Cleveland wedges, Taylor Made Hydrids, and a Titleist putter. These were chosen, as they had the best feel and results for me.
The total experience from start to finish was great. If one has the chance to break a total bag fitting over a two day period, I would recommend that. I swung well over 200 times, and certainly felt it the next day. I've played 17 rounds with the new clubs, and have greatly increased confidence, especially in the irons, which have a very solid feel. Thanks Jordan
