Club Champion Fort Worth, TX

Just a small couple of improvements

Kamito was a friendly, and welcoming employee that spent time with me getting fit fory putter. Overall my experience was a good one at Club Champion Fort Worth; and was quickly greeted at the door even though I was a few minutes early for my appointment.

I was a little out of it that day I got fit so take the review with a lick of salt. The putter fitting was through but there were a lot of questions I had that I wanted to ask but couldn't, either because I was unable to come up with them quickly enough during the fitting, or because what I felt I was going to ask didn't really have a chance to come up. It's hard to put into words how I felt during the fitting, but if I could describe it as a feeling, it would be "That feeling you get when you've got a lot of questions, but you don't know which is the right one, and you feel like something you heard from the fitter was either wrong or if there was a confounding variable that was messing with your results for the putter."

In other words I felt like the SAM tool made putters with certain necks feel different than others, and a couple of the putters I used during the fitting were 35" instead of 33". So trying to extrapolate results from the 35" to 33" isn't really fair as the length changes everything else. To be clear, this wasn't Kams fault, but he was limited by the amount of equipment available to him for each particular putter.

After we settled on a putter, he told me the changes he was going to order for the putter. When I asked for a print out, he said he couldn't do one there but he'd email me one (or one would be emailed to me). I checked my email and got confirmation that my putter order was in and it was going to be built. Great, but their were no details of what was ordered or what changes were ordered either. Which may come later but would be VERY NICE to have handy.

Also some other recommendations may be:

Have side by side comparison views on computer screen (one for putter you originally came with and one for test putter next to it.) Then have a trailing new putter window so you can compare each putter to the last, as well as the original.

Overall my experience with Kamito was a great one, and he seemed like a genuine guy trying to make me feel comfortable and welcomed (which he did do). He asked me how my holiday's were, and how I was doing and just seemed like a really chill guy, and I had no gripes with him at all. Other than that, any holdups I have were most probably with Club Champions whole fitting process. I understand that CC has a business to run, and that they're the best "Big Box" fitting company around. But could benefit from improvements in time spent with clients eliminating possible doubts or questions they may have, and also making sure their fitters have every possible length in every putter available. As well as making sure the metrics by which they measure employees doesn't negatively impact the fitter. (As I'm sure there are metrics that may cause employees to cut corners, in an effort to meet them. i.e. fittings sold, clubs sold:clubs fit and sold)
