This year I decided to get custom-fit clubs for the first time ever. Prior to going to Club Champion, I had iron fittings done with Titelist, PXG, Golftec, and Cool Clubs. I decided to get a putter fitting with Club Champion to see if there was a difference in the fitting process. My fitter was Ben Tracy. Immediately upon arriving, Ben sat down with me and carried on a detailed conversation about my putting game, my needs, and the fitting process. With the exception of GolfTec, the other fitters were nowhere near as thorough as Ben. The other fitters would just have me start taking strokes and switching out shafts immediately -- it was a whirlwind process that left me walking out confused, and they didn't even review the data. Not Ben, though, he took the time to explain every piece of data with me and exactly what was going on with my swing, the goals we were trying to accomplish, and how we were going to accomplish them. By the end of the fitting, I was confident that Ben helped fit me for the putter that's perfectly adapted to my specific putting stroke. He was just so very good that I immediately booked a fitting with Ben for one of my friends. Look, take it from a guy who in his first time around experimented by getting fit at almost every major fitter in Chicagoland, go to Club Champion. Hands down, the most thorough and best fitters you can find. And if you can, go to the Schaumburg location and get Ben Tracy as your fitter --- he's truly a master fitter and builder.
