I had the pleasure of working with Master Fitter Allen O'Berry. When we first met, Allen did a great job at assessing what my goals were and what troubles I was having with putting. We also developed a rapport nearly immediately as we come from the same profession in years past. He had me make several putts with my current gamer and with his attention to detail nearly immediately identified an issue at the same time telling me I had a "pretty good putting stroke". He took my current putter and took some measurements and I was definitely surprised specifically at the loft reading of my off the shelf putter. No wonder I wasn't getting a smooth roll-out upon strike. He then put the SAM PUTTLAB on my club and took some defining measurements while he chose several putters for me to try. No pressure or pushing me to choose one over another. As a matter of fact he spent a good bit of time educating me and clearing up my misconceptions. The entire time I was trying different clubs, he and I talked about how things looked, how it felt and whether or not I was happy with what I was experiencing while trying different putters. I ended up choosing and purchasing my first choice which was Allen's second choice for me so definitely no pressure sales at all. When it was all said and done, he wanted me to be happy and putting better. I highly recommend Allen if you want a very personable fitter who exudes professionalism.
