I was satisfied with the service of this company before but was quoted a cost of $540 for a mirrow replacement that I had done for $151.00. Something is wrong here. I feel like I was being taken advantage of here since the service person thought I would just pay the cost. I suspect that there are kick-backs here to other companies involved with the quotes, I would never recommend this company to my friends.

Something is wrong with this garage and the owner may be honest someone there is not.

With the information we were given, 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix Passenger side mirror, with No VIN number, we called our dealer and was quoted approx $240.00 for the mirror and was informed it need to be "painted" to match, before being installed and VIN number before ordering the part, then we called our body shop for a estimate to have the new OEM mirror painted to match the colour of the car, and our estimate for a GM mirror, painted, installed, old mirror disposed of was $442.00 plus tax
There is Used and Aftermarket mirrors available and they fit and function ok Most times, but we find the OEM is a better fit, also paint to match can range from No paint at all to a spray can from a hardware store, all the way to having a body shop apply base/clear professional finish like when the Car was new.
I guess an aftermarket mirror and a spray can, can be purchased for less but they are not the same when completed.
I feel we at Marks Auto Service failed to estimate cheaper options for this customer, and to allow him to decide which option he would like proceed with, and for that I apologize
