We were very disappointed in your workers that came to assist us in loading our truck on Monday, October 22, 2018.
Your workers indicated that your charges would be over $800 which included traveling time in both directions which was not disclosed to us up front. We were also charged for time spent on the road for what they said was "slow traffic". Your customers cannot control traffic and should only have to pay for the total miles driven, and only one direction. It is only 53 miles from Maple Grove to St Cloud.
We were informed that two workers would help us load our truck and would arrive at 9:00 am on the 22nd. They did not arrive until after 11:30 am, over two and a half hours late. Some of our friends came and helped us empty out the house and there were only four or five items left to remove from the house when they finally showed up. We also had part of the truck loaded by that time. We asked specifically for an early start because we needed to get started on our moved. This late start caused many additional complications in our move that were unnecessary.
When arriving at our destination, we unloaded several boxes that had been clearly mark "please do not put anything on top of this box" that had at least one or more large boxes or totes on top of them. We also have six wooden dining rooms chairs and not one of them was wrapped to protect from getting scratched, even though we had provided five bags of pads for them to use. Two bags were never even opened or used.
Maybe this is not common for your company, but we were very upset with your service and feel we should get reimbursed for some of the money that we paid for this horrible service! I have taken pictures of one box that was clearly marked and another of a large hole that was made in another box.
