My first and only experience with Garland Heating and Air Conditioning Co. was terrible. I had used a different company for eight years to service and maintain my AC system which is only eight years old. I did not care for the last technician that came out to service the AC because I felt like he did not know what he was doing. He told me I had a leak and that I needed to get it repaired which he did not do while he was there.

I asked around and was referred to Garland Heating by a family member. I wanted them to come out and inspect my AC to confirm that I had a leak as the prior company said. The technician that came out arrived on time which I thought was amazing especially this time of year. He was inspecting and cleaning the AC on the outside for about three hours and told me he was cleaning the outside unit. He never went into the attic to check that portion of the AC. When he was finished he told me he inspected the unit, cleaned it, charged me $700. He told me that I needed a new AC unit and that someone would get back to me. He never explained to me what the issue was or if that issue could be fixed vs. purchasing a new unit. I did receive a call back from someone who just wanted to give me pricing for the new unit. At that time I had asked for an itemized statement that I never received. I was emailed a simple statement for the $700. I am not happy with what they did and I never found out if, in fact, I had a leak or not. I feel like they tried to pressure me into purchasing a new AC unit and not giving me an explanation or option to have this one fixed. Of the several times that I had tried to call them, I have never gotten a complete answer for any of my questions and it is good to add that my AC has been running just fine with no issues at all since being told it had a leak and that it needed to be replaced. I will not use them again nor would I purchase a new unit from them.
