Not what was discussed
During an A/C inspection last season a hole was discovered under the roof overhang in my stucco allowing birds to access my attic space. Overson was recommended by the Rosie on the House crew, so I called. The estimator and I talked about the hole, and after inspection he told me about several things that needed repair. He said this was a "minimum" that they would do, so I went ahead and authorized the repairs. The cost was $1900. I assumed everything was done as discussed since I can't get on the roof. My A/C was recently inspected, and the technician noted that the hole was still there! I was shocked because this was my reason for calling Overson. An Overson re-inspection was done today, and the inspector told me that the repair should have been a stucco repair and that it was not on the original work order. He offered (and I accepted) to nail some bent chicken wire over the hole so that no animals could access the space. This is not what I had expected when I called Overson, and although I was pleased with his willingness to help today, I am very unhappy with the fact that I was talked into near $2000 in repairs (which I assume I needed, but who knows?) without taking care of the problem I called for. If it needed to be repaired by another company, the estimator should have told me that at the original meeting.
