I had the gas company come out and test my range because I was smelling gas. They detected is was leaking in the wall and I guess by law they have to immediately turn off your service and lock out your meter until the leak is fixed. Mind you this happened at 5pm on a weekday. I was able to get guardian out to fix the leak (luckily is was easily accessable by going through the garage wall) by about 8:30pm and the gas company came back out and had my service turned back on by 10pm.
