The overall experience is just like the commercials on TV and the ads in the various magazines describe. The fitters was professional, very friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. I anyone in the Jacksonville FL area ever needs a golf club fitting; they need to go see Bobby or Evan in the Jacksonville location. They wont be dissapointed.

Bobby Mayer met me at the door and after introductions we proceeded to discuss my game and my goals for the fitting session. We moved to the hitting bay and Bobby showed me the TrackMan and ball flight software and explained all the numbers and why they were important to overall distance and ball flight. He then had me warm up while he measured my current 6 Iron for all the specs.

After the warm up; Bobby had me hit my 6 Iron five or six times to get enough data for evaluation. I currently hit a Mizuno JPX 919 Forged iron and Bobby assembled a Mizuno JPX 921 Tour to begin fitting process. After hitting numerous shafts; we found one that was very consistent. We then started testing various heads. In the end; the Mizuno 921 Tour won out. My distance increased by approx 12 yards and my dispersion improved to approx 10 yards off center (it was approx 25 off center before the fitting).

It was the same for all other clubs I fitted into. I had a full bag fitting.

It should be noted that my current set of clubs were very light and Bobby found that a heavier swing weight was just what I needed.

By the time I got to the driver fitting; my gamer felt so light that I had trouble feeling the weight of the club. The 6 iron fitting was done with D4 swing weighted irons. My current iron are C7. So the added weight felt great, but made my current drive feel as if it was feather light. I was trying to get good data for Bobby, but kept hitting it all over the place. Bobby took my driver and handed me a Callaway GBB Epic to match the swing weight I needed (based on the 6 iron) and it was a big help. We started getting data we could use and eventually settled on the Titleist TSi 3 at 8* with the Drago 55R shaft. Huge improvement over my gamer and dispersion was dramatically improved.

Fairway woods, hybrids, and wedges were all simerly improved.

My putter fitting was a surprise. I expected to be upgraded into a new putter. But, the SAM equipment showed that my current Ping was the exact putter I should be using. Bobby had me test a few just to be thorough, but in the end he told I already had the putter I should using.

Lastly we hit wedges and and made sure the entire bag was properly gapped. In the end; my bag went from 14 clubs to 11 including the putter. The improvement in new clubs eliminated three clubs from my bag and improved all my stats.

I felt great about the process and my wife who was there also felt like I was treated more like a PGA touring Pro than the amatour that I really am. It should also be noted that my appointment was supposed to endby 1:30 pm. Bobby was in no hurry and he kept working with me until everything was accomplished. We finished at approx 2 pm.

Bobby went over the build process and the warranties and answered last minute questions.

Highly recommend Bobby be consulted for your fitting! You wont be disappointed!
