I met with Conor to get fitted for my irons. I did not bring my current irons with me, which is standard procedure. My bad. This is to establish a baseline for the process for evaluating the ideal club parameters.

No problem for Conor. He simply set me up with a fairly "standard" 6 iron to use so we could quickly see my shot distance, height, landing angle, and so much more (again all part of the fitting process). He also walked me through what we would be doing as part of the evaluation.

After the baseline, we tried different shafts: steel, graphite, steel/fiber hybrid, and another steel shaft. Once done with that, we tried 4 different heads. After reviewing all the data and landed on the best combination of shaft and head, he also tested how I was hitting the ball on the club face as well as where the bottom of the club was contacting the ground to determine the optimal "lie" angle for the iron. Finally, we chose a grip and i was on my way.

Conor was patient with me throughout the process, and made sure to answer all of my questions. He clearly knows the game and how to dial in the right club for your skillset.

It was such a good experience I am going back for driver/long distance clubs. If you're looking to get new clubs, I highly recommend getting fitted. Best way to make sure you're getting the exact club for your game and skill level, and ask for Conor. He was the best.
