I enjoyed my iron fitting at Club Champion in White Plains, N.Y. My fitter, David, was very courteous, friendly, and professional in addressing my desire to find more distance and forgiveness in my iron game.
He was able to figure out that I needed a lighter and more flexible shaft, and then I was able to try several different heads that I was interested in with Trackman collecting data on club and ball flight to show which was best for me and compare to my current irons. I ended up ordering a set of new custom made irons which data showed to add another 10 yards and also improve ball height and spin numbers. I am very excited about my new irons but unfortunately will have to wait an expected 8 weeks for delivery based on manufacturing and shipping delays. The price is a little higher also but this is not unreasonable given that I am getting custom made clubs.
