Poor Build

The fitting was fine, one suggestion is to know your swing before you go. I know I prefer a midsize grip, but was told That I should be a standard with maybe 2 layers of tape. I tried that hated the grips went back and switched to midsize grips, much better. The next issue is I had been fitted before and was fitted into a 1/2" longer shaft, but when fitted at Club Champion was told that I should use a standard length. Now 4 months late went to my club guy because the clubs were just not performing. First thing we did was went back to ½” long, my consistency was improved major level. Then had him check the lie and loft on the irons and the swing weight. None of the clubs we correct. The irons were supposed to be D4 the measured as D2. Every club lie was wrong. It should have been standard lie, 4 of the irons were 1 degree flat, 1 was 2 deg upright, and 1 was I degree upright. Once I moved to ½ longer discovered the 1 deg up right was just about perfect. Also found issues with the lofts on 3 clubs. 1 club was 2 deg week and 2 clubs were 1 degree strong. The fitting process is fun, but I would say for the price you pay for the clubs the quality control is terrible. I am still not happy with my driver and not sure what to due with it at this time. I am an IT guy and I think I totally geeked out over the idea of the computer taking the measurements and coming up with what should be my perfect clubs, but at the end of the day what worked in the shop has never worked in the real world. I would avoid having their build shop build anything at this time. The clubs they built were not to the build specs, and second know your swing and if something doesn’t feel correct regardless of what the computer readings says stick to your guns. It is now 6 months after my purchase and I am still correcting the clubs to work properly. It is very hard for me to suggest anyone to use the service. For the price the quality is not there, and would not trust them to build anything at this point.
