Maybe your "Plumber" is a great plumber but I will never find out. As far as I am concerned he is nothing but a slick salesman try to add more work that I didn't want at every item I needed fixed. When I refused he refused to do the work sighting "liability". He also quoted crazy prices to do the work. One instance he told me that the work item would take one hour labor (no material required) and said the price to do the work was $300+. In addition I have a toilet in our powder room the needed the fill valve replaced. A $16 part that takes about 30 minutes to install (I did one myself). He insisted that the toilet be replaced. It is 22 years old and top of the line Kohler. He wanted to take a $60$ job and turn it into a $750+ job. If this is your companies normal course of business, I will never use you or recommend you. I know that by charging more than the standard (book) price for the work not only benefits the company but in a large measure it benefits him directly. I paid the $45 since I am an honest person and asked him to leave the property. I hope you all choke on the $45. It was like stealing from me.
