Horrible Service!
I went to this company because the jingle was stuck in my head. I made an appointment and went in. They gave me a quote for my car which was reasonable. I provided the insurance check and dropped my car off. When I picked my car up it looked like new. I was so happy, well that soon faded when the paint developed a bubble under the paint at the bottom of the door. The bubble developed within 4-5 months of the original paint job. The bubble got bigger and within 3 weeks of the bubble appearing, the bubble popped and exposed the fiberglass. I took my car back in and he said that they would fix the problem. The fix lasted for about another 6 months and another bubble developed this time on the panel on in front of my car door but still on the side where the paint had happened. I called to have them paint the car once again. I was told that they lost my paperwork. I looked around my house, tried getting the paperwork from the insurance company (the other driver's insurance company paid for the repairs) and nothing was found. I called again and the owner said to bring my car in and he would look at it. When I brought the car in he told me that he remembered me and that he would take a look. It was at this point that he told me that he didn't paint that part of my car. He and I argued for a few minutes and I was so mad that I left and didn't go back for a full year. When I called again (I had cooled off and figured that they may have found my paperwork again) they did find the paperwork. I asked that it be faxed to me. On the paperwork it clearly states that they painted clear coat over the front panel of the car. After I pointed this out to the owner, he told me that he doesn't guarantee someone else's work! I couldn't believe that! He is calling me a liar to my face. I told him to pull the carfax on my car and it would show that McCarran Autobody is the only place! He is the only place that has touched my car and considering that he had to paint my car more than once should have told him that he does shoddy work! I was so upset. After we argued and basically yelled at each other in the parking lot he told me that I can let him paint the car one last time or I could take my car and shove it. I took pictures of my car around the outside and inside to be sure that nothing else was done to my car. I dropped it off to have it painted again (I couldn't stand to look at the bare spot on my car anymore). Luckily for me I didn't have to see his face again. I picked up my car and again within 2 months my paint is all wrinkled and I'm sure that I will soon have a bubble that will again expose the fiberglass. Do not use this business. The owner is rude and is always looking for a way to wiggle out of fixing his work. If he would just do it right the first time it wouldn't be an issue. McCarran Auto Body also fixed my boyfriend's car (his car was hit right after I first dropped my car off with them, otherwise I would have never let him go there). He was rear-ended in Tahoe during a snow storm. The woman hit the tire and back door on the back of his jeep. The jeep door still rattles and is slightly warped. When he took his car in to have them look at why the door was still messed up, they told him that it was the weight of the tire on the door that caused the rattling and the door to be tweaked. He said that he would fix it again and that he refused to put the tire back on because it caused the issue. He said that if we put the tire back on the door that it would void any guarantee of his work. I am so disgusted by this business that it makes my blood boil even writing this review. Do not use this business. It was a hassle and it was a completely horrible experience. Avoid at all costs!!
