Not a great confidence instilling experience and one that I will recommend to friends.

First, when I arrived your representative was discussing a club repair which went on a bit which I can understand. Rather than saying have a seat, I’ll be right with you, or take a look at our putters (I had two putters in my hand and it was obvious I was there for a putter fitting) I’ll be right with you I was left standing before he finally said I’ll be right with you.

The fitting experience lacked the detail in explanation I feel was necessary to give the customer confidence in the SAM analysis. In the Rep’s defense he did explain the results of the SAM analysis but not in the detail I feel was necessary to understand for example the recommended loft of the putter. With regard to the length fitting, when it came to deciding the length of the putter, I was asked, rather than having my eye line checked for the proper length, whether I felt more comfortable with a 34 inch or a 35 inch putter. I take some responsibility for this for not asking to have my eyeline checked. However, I like most customers, am a novice at this which is why we come to professional fitting companies for their expertise in this and other aspects of putter fittings. Now that the putter has been ordered at 35 inches I’m not sure whether I have the correct putter length; not a good feeling when you just paid $400 for a premium putter.

Finally, when it came to paying for the fitting and the putter that was an absolutely ridiculous, laborious experience. I told your Rep that I had Christmas money I hadn’t used so I would be giving him a combination of cash , gift cards and my personal Visa card to pay for the putter. Initially I gave him $240 in cash. Then we started the fiasco with gift cards. The first gift card I gave him was an American Express card for $50 . He then attempted several times to input two Visa gift cards, neither of which Club Champion’s system would accept. My response to this was put the balance on my personal visa. The system wouldn’t accept it. I left the store with the understanding the rep would discuss the issue with your accounting personnel. Later in the day, 6:00 PM, I received an email that the charge to my Visa had gone through only to learn later that your Rep had entered the wrong amount by $100. This was subsequently corrected by your rep and the transacation was completed.

Needless to say I found the overall experience very disappointing, very nervous about the putter length ordered and unable to recommend Club Champion for putter fittings.
