The installation went fine. I am waiting for a hot day to see how well it cools the house. One recommendation to anyone thinking about installing a whole house fan: Make sure the flue to your fireplace is closed BEFORE you turn on the fan. We discovered our fireplace flue was not closed when the fan was run. We ended up with fireplace ash all over the place. The fan really sucks the air from any opening in the house.... including the fireplace.
