Stopped in on Saturday mid morning.. met both Gil and Joey.. I didn't have an appointment but they said they could get me in right away. I was interested in a full bag fitting, and they said if your have about 3 to 4 hours we're ready now. I was sort of impressed by both the shop and the encouragement of both Gil and Joey. I worked with Joey Simon, and its obvious he cares about golf and definitely knows a lot about the swing and the sport. I am a single digit handicap but always thought I could get some more out of my clubs. First started with my 6 iron and then moved thru some others. I found there was a much better option then what I had and that is in the back of my mind now. One of the most impressive things about Joey that sort of took me off guard. I was expecting my driver would be the most expensive part of the day.. after watching me hit.. He made an adjustment to my Ping G400 and said.. try it now.. striped both of em down the center without my typical hard to control draw, okay its a hook... and Joey goes, we're done here. I even asked to hit a Callway Rogue just for good measure and he was right. I have a good working driver. I also was quite surprised by the putting machine and it turns out, I was using the wrong putter for most of my life. I did purchase a new Odyssey putter that day. Will be buying new wedges soon too, also I would never of thought this, he examined my grip more then once and said have you ever tried mid size grips? I said no.. thinking my hands weren't large enough, well he said it wouldn't hurt to slow down your hands during your swing. I like midsize for you.. I then requested okay, that sounds like an expensive mistake. He then replaced my grip on my current 6 iron I hit maybe 5 $@!#% with no right to left and am now sold. Very impressive!! It was a cold day I got a lot of swings in.. very comfortable and the Trackman's tell you a lot that you have no idea about . Will definitely recommend Club Champions to my friends unless I play Nassaus against em, they can go to Dick's. Thanks Joey!!
