It Was Fine

I was pleased with Anthony from Real Plumbers and although it all worked out in the end, it took three visits to get this job done. This was my first experience with them, as I was having a dishwasher installed and was told the pipes needed to be changed in order for that to happen. During their first visit, I was told it did not need to be done for the dishwasher install, but the ones installing the dishwasher said it did need to be done. The second time Real Plumbers came out, they did the change, but replaced the cold water pipe, not the hot water one. When they came out the third time they did fix the problem and got it right, and provided me with a discount because of all the trouble I went through with them. I usually wouldn't mind as much, but with the pandemic, I felt uneasy with all of these people coming in and out of my house. I was disappointed the work wasn't done right the first time, and how both crews were arguing about what needed to be done. It was frustrating during the ordeal, but in the end, it all worked out. Everything came out fine and I am happy with the results.

We apologize if there were any miscommunications with our technician, Anthony. We felt that his diagnoses and work was correct. On the first visit, he located and checked the existing dishwasher valve, which your Appliance Installer should have been able to use, and we're not clear as to why he couldn't.

On the second visit, Anthony discussed replacing the valve with you. Anthony's recommendation was to install the valve on the hot side, which is the correct side. Per your Appliance Installer's recommendation, the valve was installed on the cold side.

We assumed he had some special dishwasher that had a heating element. In retrospect, we should have pushed the issue further. I, Dave Warner, the Owner, had already intended to make the visit on 6/4/2020 a no charge visit, due to this miscommunication. We have since issued a credit for the $160 charge for the visit on 6/4/2020.
