NOT GOING TO USE THEM AGAIN!

I have been using Real Plumbers since 1990. My relationship with them has always been great. They have installed a sump pump and commode in the past along with various other jobs. It's important to know because to date the commode and the sump pump is still working great! I kept their business card for all these years. Recently I called them to come out repair my sink and unclog a drain line. I was a bit put out that I did not reach the plumber but an answering service, which was ok they did schedule an appointment with the plumber showing up on time. I understand that things change and technology is important. The plumber did show up on time and wanted to charge me $165.00 to replace a washer in the sink! I refused that service because I thought it was a ridiculous amount for a washer replacement. He did unclog the drain in the basement on this same visit. A few days later I had to call them back because the drain was clogged again. When I called I reached the answering service I was instructed that I would have to pay another $89.00 for them to come out again! At this point, I told them I didn't want to do business with them any longer! The plumber that initially unclogged the drain did not go far enough in the pipe to clear the entire clog and I should not have to pay twice for the same service! I have torn up their business card and I will never use them again!

In response to Mr. Bradford review above, we received his initial phone call from Mr. Bradford during our closed hours, that is the reason why he received a voice message. We do have a manager who listen to all of the voice messages that we receive during our non office hours and we do try and reach each customer that calls during that time. As for the job as Mr. Bradford stated we went out to his residence on September 22, 2017 and cleared the stoppage in his basement drain. Mr. Bradford gave us a call on November 14, 2017 nearly two months later to call in for another stoppage. Our Customer Service Representative (CSR) politely explained that it has been nearly two months between stoppages and that we needed to come out and diagnose this stoppage to determine what was causing the stoppage. There maybe a larger problem that may need to be address or maybe there is something else that is stopped up in the drain that has happened since the last time that we had unclogged that drain. We were unable to give him prices until we diagnosed the problem. Mr. Bradford stated to our CSR that he did not want to pay another $700.00 and that he needed to give us a call back. That is the last that we have heard from Mr. Bradford. I wish that we could do more to help and based on what we may have found there may had been more that we could do but we just could not offer to come out to his residence and unclog his drain again for free after a near two month period and not knowing what has been going down that drain within the past two months. Even though we do stand by our decision we do value Mr. Bradford as a customer and now that we know his view point on this matter, we will reach out to Mr. Bradford in hopes of being able to repair our customer/service provider relationship.
