I’m 62yo and wheelchair bound. When I first arrived at Anthem, I was impressed with the service and food. But, as time went on I became far less than impressed! They knew I had a debilitating condition and limitations. I tried to maintain as much independence as I could! There were no “activities” scheduled that I EVER SAW! When the hospital doctor advised, in writing, I needed to be fed, it was clear the Anthem Nurse FLAT OUT LIED TO ME! When I had the medical records faxed over, they showed I needed to be fed!! One afternoon, I called for an Uber, but when it arrived, my legs were NUMB, and no one would help me transfer into the vehicle. Other issues arose and 911 was called! Once in the ambulance, the paramedic said “you are safe now, what’s going on?” So, I told him everything! Once at the ER, they determined a number of things, told me there had been numerous residents from Anthem brought in over the past year! All of them had complained of not getting changed, bathed, fed or given something to drink. Some had meds delayed or not given.
MY ADVICE, UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO BE VISITED WEEKLY, CALLED DAILY, DO NOT PLACE YOUR LOVED ONE OR YOURSELF HERE!!!
