Poor communication from Precision and they got the order wrong. A nightmare to deal with them.
The wrong carpet was brought to the job on the first day. Fortunately it was discovered before it was laid, but it cost me a day of work. After scheduling a new day, I waited at home and the carpet layer did not arrive. I had to call Precision to find out what was happening. I was informed the carpet had not arrived, yet they did not see the need to call me to advise. No time was given, only a suggestion that they do the job the next day (Saturday). I informed them it is unacceptable and I am not satisfied. Although I received an apology only after complaining, Precision continued to insist on doing the job the next day. When I informed him the next day is my birthday and I have plans, he did not back off his insistence, stating it will only take a few hours, despite advising me it is a full day job until that time and pricing the job on a full day basis. I refused and told him a new date will have to be found next year because of my impending travel plans. I received a call later in the day informing me the carpet had arrived and they will be at the house within 30 minutes. Ultimately I am happy with the quality of the carpet and the laying, but dealing with Precision is something I will not repeat.
