One big problem

Everything was great except I said upfront when I scheduled the appointment that it was important that the carpet dry quickly, .,it did except for the carpeted stairs. That were drenched!... Squished when you walk on them. They had no way to dry them sufficiently....I ended it up using thick towels to soak up a lot of the water.. Mildew is a constant problem here and I don't even want to think about water damage underneath

I spoke to our technicians about the job. The stairs were wet after we cleaned them. Everything is of course. However after we clean carpet, upholstery or area rugs we immediately put a large fan called a studabaker fan on the textile to dry. We carry three to 4 of these fans on each vehicle.
I had to have special shelving units welded into our vans to carry these large fans. They are the best in the industry.
After Sam mentioned the wet carpet we put the fans down to speed dry the carpet.
He did bring towels out. He did complain about them being wet but kind of beat us to the punch before we "leap frogged" the fans on to the stairs to dry them.
Drying carpet is a big deal to us. I think we are the only company carrying around 4 studabaker fans in our vehicles. Four fans alone cost over $2,000. They are big and bulky, hence the special shelving.
We would never, ever, ever leave carpet soaked and wet like Sam first described.
We tried reaching out to Sam but as a lot of our customers he is busy and we understand. Just note that drying carpet is at the top of our priority list and nobody is left with soaking wet carpet.
I actually give my technicians permission to sit in the van and wait up to 30 minutes to allow the carpet to dry well before they leave....if necessary. Our customers enjoy steam cleaned carpet with outrageously fast dry times.
