NOT WHAT i THOUGHT

I came in for an install only on a new stereo unit I had previously purchased from Sounds Fast. The install estimate was $150 "or close to that". The bill came to $250. I did not see anything that was particularly difficult or would cause significant time and charges in the install. I think I was overcharged. I went to Redmond to have another basic install done last week and they charged $75. Does not make sense to me.

Taylor we want to thank you for your review. I would also like to apologize for your unhappiness with the services we provided to you. I went back and looked over your transaction as well as talked with each of the Sounds Fast employees involved with your job. The labor you were charged for your install was our standard rates for the type of product you were having installed. Your RV required us to modify the dash by opening the location up by double the size to fit your 7" Kenwood video unit. Video units also have quite a bit more involved with the installation over a standard stereo with bluetooth. The staff at our front counter informed you that there would be an additional hour of labor for the modification before you left and you had agreed to it. The total labor charge was our standard labor for a unit like yours plus the additional hour for the dash mod. The additional charge was for our standard shop supply charges that cover all the materials not supplied with the unit needed for the install. You had mentioned in your review that you had the radio we removed from your coach installed in an another vehicle by another shop and the labor rate was less and you are correct. That style of stereo has less involved in the install and our labor rate for that type of stereo would've been about $5 more than what you paid at the other shop. Taylor we had roughly 4 hours involved in the install of your unit. Our hourly labor rate is $70 per hour and your final invoice was quite a bit less than the actual time it took. I truly am sorry that you aren't happy with the final bill, but it looks as if the charges were within the time and amount you were quoted.
