I made an appointment to have a toilet wax seal replaced. It's a one-person 45 minutes job. There were no other issues or complications. The service person came over and gave me a quote of $390. I could not believe it and told him no way. He had me speak with a manager who agreed to $200. I accepted because I didn't want to take off work again. In hindsight I should have paid the $38 service call and told them to leave. My opinion is this company inflates the price to see if someone will be too intimidated, or in need of immediate service, to say no.
