I listen to WMUZ and frequently hear Hoover plumbing advertisements on the Bob Dutko show. We had a plumbing emergency at my sister in laws house, backed up sewage line, so we called Hoover. They arrived when stated and try to sell a $3500 repair to some older cast iron pipes but did nothing to address the issue, the clogged pipe which we previously told them about. When we said no to the $3500 repair , they left.
My relative called me, as I had arranged for Hoover to come. I called Hoover back and explained they had been out but didn't address the clog. They said they didn't know anything about a clog. (We had told them the reason for the call previously)
So, they did return the same day but made a big mess in the basement, sewage and roots, and said that was the best they could do. They dragged their snake thru the living area leaving a mess on my floor from the basement to the front door, when they could have easily gone out the back door. Plus, they left me a big mess in the basement, the remnants of the snaking, sewage and roots.
Their attitude was poor the whole time and acted like they didn't want to do the job.
The drain clogged again 2 days later and this time we called Zplumbers , who arrived promptly and were discusted with the mess left behind.by Hoover and said they would dispose of it when they were done. Zplumbers worked at snaking much longer ,several hours, and used a much larger snake bit which really opened up the drain line. They had wonderful attitudes and completely cleaned up their mess as well as the mess Hoover left behind. The line has worked fine for nearly a month now. Both companies suggest a hydro flush which we will trust to Zplumbers.
Extremely unhappy with Hoovers work and attitude on the job and super happy with Zplumbers.
