Not reliable! No confidence in them knowing what they are doing at all!
It was one hundred nine degrees in Washington when my air conditioning blew. The next day was supposed to be the hottest one yet and I couldn't stand the thought of living without air conditioning, so I called Washington Natural Gas Heating & Air Conditioning. They looked at it and determined that the company that installed it would have to deal with it. So I called that company and they don't do installations anymore but recommended buying a new unit. Mike from Washington Natural Gas jumped right on that when he heard a new unit was called for. So he scheduled an appointment, re-scheduled it, and then missed the appointment entirely. I learned that I can't depend on them to keep their time promises. It got to be the first week in July and I had never heard back from them. So I called and had to act mad to get any response. So the following week, Washington Natural Gas Heating & Air Conditioning spent three days installing the new twenty-thousand dollar unit. Meanwhile, I was holed up in the bedroom which has a wall unit. About a month later, I noticed that the fan was running but there wasn't any cool air coming out. When I looked, I saw that the pipes were frozen so I turned off the unit overnight before the scheduled visit from Washington Natural Gas. They sent out a guy who didn't speak or understand English so there was no way to communicate. Mike ignored my calls and attempts to reach him. Finally, he texted me out of the blue and said that he was going to send someone around to check on things, just to make sure everything was working. I asked him to relay any information to me about the unit. But he never texted me back. Even my boyfriend tried texting him for information and he didn't respond to him either. Then they sent the non-English speaking Russian back. He was here until eleven o'clock at night but couldn't share any information with us. Mike finally blamed the ducts under the house for the unit freezing up. What I want to know is why this wasn't included in their initial assessment before installing the unit. I may have to spend even more money now to redo the ductwork. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Their communication is terrible or non-existent. The endless rescheduling and missing appointments plus the unanswered text messages are not acceptable. I'm at the point where I'm going to have to pay another company to give me a second opinion on everything. With winter arriving, I don't want my furnace to break down.
