I think that the repair should have been fully covered by warranty
I had PlumbPros Plumbing install a new water heater for me back in 2018. Just recently, lightning struck the water heater, and it melted the water inlet pipe. I think that the repair should have been fully covered by the warranty, but nonetheless, it cost me $250. I also held the pipe while the plumber soldered it back.
