The young man might have been tired from an all day job--SINGULAR--but at 7:15 p.m., he arrived, checked the pipes surrounding the leak, explained what he would do & the obvious need to turn off the water. 30 minutes later: all set. WE went over the "paperwork" on his tablet, I wrote a check, and back to the basement he went to be sure all was well.
It was; it is! I had given him an out: too tired? Isn't your family
expecting you home. No problem: he said he was on call any way + the fix was not complicated. He had cleaned up
the vicinity before the signing papers and had been a gentle
man all along.
