Capital Plumbing & Heating recently came out to my home to run routine maintenance on my air conditioner. This was my first time using them. The technician was very nice but the job took him a very long time. He arrived at eight-thirty A.M. and did not finish until twelve noon. I do not know what he was doing down there all that time. I know that he was on his computer most of the time. He came up and handed me a bill for five hundred dollars! He said there was nothing wrong with the air conditioner but that he had cleaned the humidifier. I asked what he was doing on the computer and he said that he was checking to see about the filter that goes to the air conditioner. There was no explanation given as to what the five hundred dollar charge was for. I know that they charge about one hundred dollars just to come out. What was the rest for? I know that the company does not have a lot of business right now but I am not going to be the patsy for them to make money off me. I will never use them again and of course, will never recommend them to anyone. They are overly expensive!
