Malek replaced our entire home system 4 yrs ago, with a less than pleasant outcome, due to techs never being able to tune the $12k system. When our compressor stopped running, we called them, only because we thought we had to in order to get warranty work done. Tech came out, quickly determined a bad capacitor, and replaced it. Came in the house afterwards and told us the bill was $389 ($300 part/$89 labor)! We were not given the cost estimate prior. When we told him it was under warranty, the bill dropped $150 for the part ($25 on Amazon) for "processing the warranty", and $69 for labor since we had a coupon (total $219). I called another local service company afterwards to find out their cost estimate for labor would have been about $130 and the part would have been no charge since it was warranty work. Guess who I will use in the future...plus, I went out after he left to get specifics on the capacitor, and found he did not even put the screws in the clamp that holds it in the unit. It was just rattling around under the cover.
