Flanders Heating & Air Conditioning lost a golden opportunity to do thousands of dollars of business with me after their recent treatment of my repair needs. My air conditioner stopped working. I am not at all knowledgeable about heating and air conditioning but I knew it was a complex issue and I specifically requested a smart technician from Flanders. Setting up the service call seemed easy until the technician showed up more than five hours past his designated window. He said he was squeezing me in after some other, higher priority calls. I knew right away that I was getting a tired technician at the end of a long workday. Sure enough, he was not able to fix the problem. He recharged the Freon and left. I paid him nearly six hundred fifty dollars and scheduled a follow-up visit because I suspected there was a leak in the line. Then, someone from the Flanders office called to tell me it wouldn't be a follow-up, it would be a new repair visit with additional fees. If they had come back out as a follow-up to the Freon recharge and found a leak in the line, I would have paid for a replacement unit. But, I wasn't going to pay several hundred more dollars for a line check and then have to pay even more for a new unit. Flanders Heating & Air Conditioning lost interest in my business when I wouldn't pay extra and even asked me why they would send a technician to my house for free. The person who I dealt with on the phone was increasingly dismissive of my needs. It was extremely poor business and bad customer service. I will take my money elsewhere. I give Flanders zero stars.
