I was told by a technician with another A/C company that the wiring to my 2 outdoor units were not to up to code & offered to fix everything for additional costs. Having lived in the house since 2007, after a complete home inspection, which I observed, & various visits by A/C companies over the years, none of which ever even suggested that the electrical was not up to code, I told the tech I would not need his services. I contacted Stuart Services, a company I not only used last year to change a light fixture, but have seen them do A/C services at a building I worked at years ago.
When Chris, the Stuart tech, arrived, I showed him the connections that the first tech said had the problem. Chris said that my instincts were correct; the previous tech was trying to get more of my money by saying something which wasn't right.
By the time Chris left, I got temporary relief with cool air from one of my A/C units, but it turns out that there will be additional work to get everything working.
My rating is based on this one visit. My guests, my pets, and I truly appreciate the temporary repair & look forward to getting a fully functioning A/C - heating system in the home.
