If cost is not a concern . . .
In evaluating CPI, one needs to balance the extremely expensive cost of their services with the extremely good service one gets for that price. I purchased their one-year maintenance agreement a year ago when my gas water heater suddenly died and they came and replaced it right away. The most recent visit started with a one-year follow-up/maintenance on the water heater and check of all my plumbing systems. Hunter's check revealed two problems--a leaky shower drain in my crawlspace and a garbage disposal that was rusting out. While I gulped at the price estimate for having them repaired, I was able to see for myself that the repairs were needed, and I decided it was worth the cost to avoid a later emergency and the hassles of looking for a "cheaper" plumber. The pressure to have CPI do the repairs came from my plumbing anxiety, not from CPI. Hunter was extremely pleasant, professional, and competent, and he replaced the disposal and the leaking portion of the drain, on the spot. He didn't even complain about my crawlspace!
