Poor job, very disappointed

When my a/c unit needed replacing i called another company to come out and during their inspection they found shoddy workmanship in the installation. I was informed that it did not pass code and there was no way the city would have approved the work. The unit was installed crooked and was not brought up to code when cogburn's installed the furnace unit 3 1/2 years ago. I was told it was a 2 stage blower system and the inspecting company said it wasn't. Now i am out the almost $3000 i spent on the furnace and need a whole new system. The city never came to inspect the work so i am wondering if they even got a permit to replace the old furnace. Very disappointed!! I will not use cogburn's nor will i recommend them to anyone.

Our records show that your A/C system was a 2001 and we recommended to replace it with the furnace. You elected to do the furnace only. We installed a Goodman 2 stg furnace with a variable speed blower, return plenum and thermostat so that you would have future options on a future A/C selection. Your A/C system did not meet current code or Govt. standards. As for as the furnace, we installed per code, followed up with a quality control check and gave you a written 2yr labor warranty and 2 yr "No Lemon" guarantee which is a free replacement within 2 yrs of installation. We followed with our "Happy Check" call and you were happy with everything and said that overall we gave you 5 star service. There have been no service calls on that furnace since the installation. Sounds like either the company your doing business desired to sale you more than you needed or all the information confused you.
