Sullivan Super Service

They get absolutely no stars.

They were called in to find a leak and a clog plus replace tub fixtures and over flow cover and drain. Didn't stick to estimate
First estimate: 243.00 with discount- 230.00
Second estimate: verbal quote of 2100.00 - actual estimate: 2340.00
Tub fixture cost- over 1000 for fixtures and labor with th cost of the fixtures being over 600.00. The actual cost of the fixtures : 164.00 plus tax and it came from lowes, not any special factory. As he said.
Subtracted 455.00 for work he said he didn't do in actuality- it was the difference between the cost of the Lowes fixture and the one he said he would provide.
I said I wanted everything to match but the overflow cover, plug and drain don't match the faucet, on off lever or shower head. The difference is significant since the tub fixtures are brushed copper while the over flow cover and tub drain are an extremely shiny chrome. So after that day, I paid him 2,013.00. That was actually yesterday. So now I've paid him 2243 and the fixtures don't match, he hasn't found the clog or so he says. He had the cleanup crew open my ceiling. Then he had them come back to open it more and I'm certain that plumber is working with the cleanup crew to maximize and up charge me. They were going to make a hole in the living room too which would have meant that now the living room ceiling as well as the dining room ceiling would need painted. Machines were left at my home longer than they needed to be. This was all under the pretense of finding the clog. All costing me a small fortune. Don't get me wrong, some of it was legit but that plumber should have gotten the clog when the old pipes were down and before the new ones went in. But no- he put in the tub fixtures and replaced the pipes making it seem impossible to access the clog without opening up more of the dining room ceiling. ( meanwhile, all he had to do was take the pipes down again and snake out the drain from there which is what he should have down anyway before he put it he new pipes in.) never did agree that the living room ceilings needed to be opened and I stopped that process. In the meantime, the plumber was going to charge me an additional 700.00 after the cleanup crew was finished opening up more ceiling, I know from experience now that this plumber would never stick to that estimate and was looking for a reason to go after the waste stack. He kept mentioning it and questioning the credentials of the plumber who put in the existing waste stack. Now mind you he hasn't seen this waste stack. The toilet sits right on top of it and there are no problems there with flushing or overflow. He did snake out the sink and the tub but I'm told that the traps on both of those would have prevented him from getting through. Here is the thing. He had to know all of this all along. So I threw the cleanup crew out of my house and I fired that plumber. My drain is still clogged and we have to bail the water out of the tub to shower or bathe. My daughter is in from California and has to go to a hotel. The plumber knew that I was having company too. This has been A nightmare and if I have a heart attack over this I will sue Sullivan plumbing. I'm absolutely certain the insurance assessor will totally support everything I'm saying. Finally, it's not my problem if the plumber can't find the clog. That's his job. He didn't do it and we are left wth a mess and a large outlay of cash with more to follow. I feel totally ripped off and I haven't ruled out contacting Marty Griffin.
