My service tech did an excellent job replacing my automatic pilot and in also attempting to give me an overall opinion on condition of my furnace. But there was a major concern, the tech told me that I also need a new gas valve - a $661 job. I brought in another tech to confirm and that tech discovered that my gas valve was working just fine-it was just that my pilot had a bunch of corrosion around it. With a safety pin he cleared my pilot of the corrosion and POW! My furnace worked beautifully.
So in replacing my auto pilot, Sullivan did an outstanding job; BUT I was also told I needed another $661 job done when the repair was only a simple one and actually cost NOTHING to repair.
I believe my service tech from Sullivan was VERY COMPETENT AND CARED VERY MUCH ABOUT ME, but I also think that he missed something that could have cost me $661 which I didn’t need to spend.
I don’t want my Sullivan review to sound like a bad one - they are a good company. I just recommend that when it comes to major repairs or even replacing a furnace - another opinion will always be the best action to take.
