No Longer A Loyal Customer
Been a customer for many years so it's unfortunate when one experience makes me write a review like this. A tech came out to diagnose a heat pump malfunction. He was there for 20 minutes, acknowledged it wasn't working, and said he would have to come back to diagnose the issue. Isn't that why he came? He came back 2 days later, said the problem was likely with the coil. I showed him where it was (in an enclosed crawl space), he came back 10 minutes later and said that he couldn't access it or even find the model # (it would be under warranty) because there were ducts in front of it. He would call with a quote to move the ducts to gain access. I went down after he left, found the model and serial # and was able to detach the 3 ft. of ducts - in under 10 minutes. He called 2 days later with a quote of "not more than" $4,500, just for the duct work (no repair)! Really? I could re-duct the entire house - twice - for that. He must work on commission and think all homeowners are idiots. Never heard from him again. I emailed the service manager describing my disappointment. No response. Done with Sundance.
