We have informed Allen Service that there is a lot's of sludge in the line per video made by the city workers and we requested quote for water jetting the line. The plumber did not examine the problem only by conversation and his quote was $850 for jetting or $550 for sewer snaking. I believe the quote was ridiculously high. Then we were charged for the quote. The plumber stated that the estimate for this services could not be given to us over the phone without someone coming out to examine the problem, which he did not do other that taking time to speak with us and write detailed estimate. In addition, the plumber used scare tactics that other companies do not provide certified plumbers and that we would not be able to get the job done rightly if they offer cheaper rates.
