Dwyer Plumbing came recommended to us when we had an issue of water coming through our recessed lighting in the kitchen from our upstairs bathroom. We got an appointment promptly for that afternoon and were told it would be a $69 service fee. 2 technicians came out and had us take them to where the bathroom was. The located the leak and when we asked how much it would be, they THEN informed us that there was an additional $110 minor leak search fee. I assumed the $69 service fee was to examine the situation and that we would be told of any additional charges PRIOR to doing the work. So if you have them come to do work for you, double check with them about the charges right when they walk in the door and what that service fee actually entitles you to--apparently $69 is for them to just walk into your door, not to actually examine the situation, which is what I assumed a "service fee" would be for. $180 for them to identify that there was a caulking issue around our shower handle seems quite exorbitant and I would have liked the choice to have turned down the service for the $110 price tag but that choice was taken away from me. I also have called the office twice and left a message for the manager and still have not received a return call. Not good customer service when you have a complaint and want to simply feel heard and know that there was a breakdown in communication and that someone did not give us the information they should have before doing the work.
